Ray (a lady!) and Charles Eames were iconic designers of mid-century modern furniture. This TED talk is by their grandson, Eames Demetrios, talking warmly about his grandparents and revealing much unseen footage of the couple and their designs.
BTW if you haven’t discovered TED, it’s an awesome resource – hundreds of free videos of inspiring talks by incredible people from a diverse range of disciplines. Downloadable as MP3s or PodCasts, they can turn that commute into a compelling educational experience. From a design perspective, I’d recommend Chris Bangle, ex BMW designer and hero designer Philippe Starck as a good starting point.
