These freaky images are the works of an undercover photographer known as ‘JR’ who has plastered the walls and bridges of the Seine River with conspicuous images of eyes. The dozen pairs of eyes glaring at passers by are to raise awareness of issues in third world countries, bringing people seen in the media every day closer to home. The exhibition Women Are Heroes showcases JR’s world tour, telling the story of a dozen women.
