We’re lucky enough to attract regular visits from a whole host roving photographers agents at our agency. It was during one such chelsea bun fueled encounter that I stumbled across Joey L. His work displays a maturity that goes far beyond many that have been shooting for decades. His client list contains some of the biggest names in the industry from Warner Bros to Channel 4 and a whole host of stops in between. Quite frankly, the sheer talent he shows in his work makes me want to vomit on my own legs.
A collection of some of the most controversial magazine covers of years gone by. An interesting visual account that reflects the changing times that gave editors the chance to push the boundaries of decency and morality. Heavy.
A taste of street sleeping from the comfort of your own home. The design team at snurkbeddengoed not only work for the best named company in the Netherlands but also came up with this innovative idea to raise money for SZN, a charity for young homeless people, that fund housing projects to help people into jobs and education.
An amazingly simple but striking capture of only three frames of film in a never ending loop. Mostly taken from cult films from the 70s and 80s, there’s a glimpse of 3 dimensional depth to these images that grabs me.
I couldn’t tell you a thing about the people behind this project, the images live on an entirely content-less website, but enjoy…
So it appears that these guys don’t speak a word of the Queen’s. But this ad for a cinema fesitval in Valencia, Spain stands out a mile. Their site contains a nice selection of print, branding and TV spots. They have helpfully translated their info section into Spanglish through what seems to be a terrible online translator…

You may remember Noah from his Youtube hit Noah K Everyday. He’s got some lovely shots in his book and some very interesting lighting techniques to boot.

In the wake of our ever-expanding digital lives, lies a sea of once used accounts, apps and fads that we got into and quickly lost interest in. One Post Wonder is a catalogue of blogs that have been long forgotten after just one post.
A graduate of Salford University back in 2006, Rob has mustered an impressive list of both freelance and full-time work including this slick visual dream for Atari. I love the way he categorizes his work as either RGB or CMYK, lovely stuff.
Some rather tasty work from Julio and the crew at 44 Flavours in Kreuzberg, Germany. Obviously the gangly arms of the ShellsuitZombie are beginning to go global. Their work is nothing short of exceptionally creative, with a mix of creations from vinyl sleeves to installations. We like.

This is some self-motivated work by freelance designer Huw Gwilliams who has crafted a handful of classic album covers into the well loved old skool Penguin style. He’s got a nice blog too.
Some great graphic creation from Phil Yamada. Currently working freelance but with an internship at TBWA etc al in Vancouver under his belt, his site is well work a look.
